Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Boldhead ("we", "us", "our") does with the personal information it receives when you browse boldhead.net or order from it. We have kept it in plain language because you should be able to read it in a few minutes and know exactly where you stand.

1. The information we receive

We collect three kinds of information:

  • Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the shipping and billing addresses you enter at checkout or when you contact support.
  • Details about your orders: what you bought, when, your order history and any messages exchanged with our support team.
  • Details from your device: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you and the time of your visit.

2. Payment data

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments under PCI-DSS standards. Your full card number and payment credentials are entered into the processor's secure checkout and are never stored on our servers. We only see the outcome of the transaction and the last digits needed to identify it.

3. What we use it for

  • Taking payment, shipping your order, and handling returns and refunds.
  • Answering your questions and keeping you informed about your order.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud and unauthorised transactions.
  • Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it and our range.
  • Meeting our legal and tax obligations.
  • Sending you news and offers, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the parties needed to run the store:

  • Our e-commerce platform, Shopify, which hosts the site and the checkout.
  • Our payment processor, to complete your transaction.
  • Shipping carriers, so they can deliver your parcel.
  • Analytics providers, to measure how the site performs.

We may also disclose information where the law, a regulation or a legal process requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. The third-party providers above receive only what they need to perform their service for us.

5. Cookies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, such as the cart, may then stop working as intended.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed to fulfil your orders, provide support, resolve disputes and comply with the law. After that it is deleted or anonymised securely.

7. How we protect it

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data, and all traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted with SSL/TLS. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

8. Your choices

At any time you can:

  • ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask what data we hold about you;
  • stop marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

9. California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you further rights:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete that information, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
  • Right to opt out of sale: we do not sell personal information, and if that ever changed we would provide a clear way to opt out.
  • Right to non-discrimination: exercising these rights will never affect the service or prices you receive.

10. Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age, in line with COPPA. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the effective date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
